LRC Error Prolific PL2303HX

Hello,

I have the Prolific PL2303HX bought for Windows 8.
The old PL-2303HXA not work with Windows 8.
With the old PL-2303HXA does it read a rs232 terminal, but with the new Prolific PL2303HX I always get LRC_Error.
It also does not work on Windows 7 and XP.
Whats wrong?

Today I bought an adapter with the FTDI chipset / FT232RL and this works perfectly
