For years, I’ve run an older PCIe USB3 card with a μPD720200 on a Scientific Linux 6.1 machine (Red Hat Enterprise clone), currently updated to kernel 2.6.32-131.21.1.el6.i686 . I hope to keep that running as long as that distro is supported (2020 or later). It would be prudent to have some spares.
The new version of the PCIE-USB3-SP card uses the μPD720202. Will that work with stock 2.6.32? If not, is there a backported driver, or a source of older μPD720200 cards?
