Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 - recommended docking station

Could you please recommend me a docking station to use with IdeaPad Flex 5, specifications here. I need to use two external displays.

Thanks for reaching out to Plugable support! I’d be happy to help with that recommendation.

Based on the specs for the laptop that you sent us any of our USB 3.0 docking stations should work for you.

• UD-6950Z adding up to two 4K@60Hz
• UD-5900 adding one 4K or two 2K displays
• UD-3900Z adding up to two 1920x1200 displays

There are a few important details to keep in mind:

1. Our UD-6950Z, UD-5900, and UD-3900Z docks relies on a USB graphics technology known as DisplayLink. DisplayLink graphics is great for general office or productivity use, but we do not recommend DisplayLink for any graphics intensive tasks such as gaming
2. Please note that the maximum number of display we support via DisplayLink is 6. With each additional display, more resources are required from the CPU and GPU of the computer, which can result in imperfect display performance depending on the graphics burden
3. I would recommend you double-check that your computer is compatible with the dock’s DisplayLink driver by referring to DisplayLink’s system compatibility checker tool: https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/544297-is-my-windows-computer-compatible-with-displaylink
