Lenovo Docking Station

I have a new Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 (16AHP5) 170W power adapter. The docking station I have works it just doesn’t charge the laptop. i have to keep the power adapter plugged in also. no big deal i was wondering if there was one that would do the charging also.

Thanks

Hello there,

Our docking stations can provide power to many laptops, but because your Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 uses a high capacity 170W power adapter, it is likely best to continue using your original charger alongside a dock.

Most of our docking stations provide up to 100W of USB C Power Delivery, which is a standard that allows a single cable to send both data and charging power to your computer. While 100W is enough for many systems, high performance laptops like yours often require more energy than the current USB C charging standards can typically provide. Using a lower wattage charger can result in slow charging or the battery draining even while plugged in.

Sincerely,

Mychal
