Is this device MultiSeat capable without an additional graphics card

Can I use this dock connected to a thunderbolt 3 port on a linux machine (it has thunderbolt support) and then have this station on one seat to be used for the monitor/USB keyboard/mouse without having to use any additional graphics card?

Thanks for asking!

We are not testing our Thunderbolt 3 products in such scenarios (Linux is not officially supported, and we’re not testing multi-seat applications), as such I’m unfortunately unable to answer this question.

However, please note that this device utilizes your system GPU to output video over Thunderbolt 3. Any attached display through the dual adapter would appear to the system as if it were directly attached to the system’s GPU.

If you can use other directly attached displays via the system video outputs for multi-seat, I would expect that should also work with this dual adapter, but I’m not able to confirm this.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
