Thanks for posting your question here! Yes, Chrome OS has inbuilt support for Plugable USB2-E100 . So no driver installation is required.

If you connect Plugable USB2-E100 to the Chromebook and a live Ethernet cable to the adapter, your Chromebook should have wired Ethernet connectivity.
