Internal Laptop Speakers Not Working When Using Plugable USB 3.0 Docking Station

When connected to plugable usb 3.0 docking station my internal laptop speakers stop working. I am using a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 with windows 8.1.
The sound bar moves up and down like there is volume but nothing comes out. I cn get sound by plugging headphones into the headphone jack of the laptop. I have tried setting laptop speakers to default in control panel and disabling plugable speakers in device manager but still not sound.
I am in a remote location and mainly use the docking station for the network port so I can have internet, I do not always want to plug headphones for skype etc.

Please Help!

Seems like you need to go to control panel > sound > playback tab and select the internal speakers to be your default device and to be your default communication device by right clicking the instance and setting the check marks. Please try this with the docking station connected.

Thanks Patric.
I have tried this but it does not resolve the issue.

With the docking station attached, can you please take a screenshot of your playback tab and attach it in the reply?

First image shows no settings when no sound coming from laptop speakers. Second image shows setting when headphones plugged into lap and sound coming through them. !](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1366396/Plugable_Sounnd_Issue_Sound_Through_Headphones_Plugged_IntoLaptop_inline.JPG?1455593157)](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1366396/Plugable_Sounnd_Issue_Sound_Through_Headphones_Plugged_IntoLaptop.JPG?1455593157)
