Improvement request

I do have the double 15,6" screens. When connected I see the following order:
MacBookScreen - screen right - screen left.
Each time I do have to change the order, putting the left screen to the left. Whenever I disconnect I have to arrange again.
Please let the order stay the same

Hi Eric,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry to hear of this issue, and I’ll be happy to assist.

Display arrangement is something that’s managed by the computer’s operating system , so the primary factor in this behaviour is the computer itself.

With that in mind, I tested a similar setup (using two USBC-PDMON portable displays and a MacBook Pro running macOS 15.2) to see if I could replicate this behaviour. The results were interesting and might be helpful. It appears that macOS saves display positions based on the specific display rather than the USB-C port to which the display is connected. In other words, if monitor A is set to be on the left side and monitor B is set to be on the right side, monitor A should always appear on the left and monitor B on the right. This remains consistent regardless of which USB-C port each display is connected to on the Mac or the physical placement of the monitors (as the computer cannot detect the physical positions of the displays).

To relate this to your setup, if you label one portable monitor as “monitor A” and the other as “monitor B,” do you still need to rearrange the displays every time if they are consistently placed in the same positions relative to each other (i.e., monitor A always on the left and monitor B always on the right)?

Also just to confirm, are the displays you’re using the Plugable USBC-PDMON?

Please let me know if you have any questions as well.

My apologies for the trouble, and thanks for giving us the chance to help.

Dear Sam,

Thank for your quick response and sorry for my slow answer. Very busy with the business overhere.

I have your Flex pro screen with only one USB-C.

So I could not find help in your email answer.

Can you please look again at my configuration?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Eric

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your response.

I’m afraid the Flex Pro 15.6" portable monitor is not a Plugable product. I looked up this model number and it appears to be from a brand called “The Portable Monitor”: https://the-portable-monitor.tech/products/flex-15-6

I’m not familiar with this product, so I’m afraid our ability to help with issues with it is limited. I’d recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the Flex Pro display for assistance - their website has a chat button at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Please let us know if you have any more questions and I’ll be happy to as much as I can.

Thank you,

Sam
