iMac Freeze with plugable connected

Hi

I have been using my plugable display link hub for a couple of years with 2 Dell screens and a macbook with no problems. Recently upgraded to an iMac with one Dell screen and have had problems with the iMac screen freezing but the dell being OK. I went through a trouble shooting check with Apple and if my plugable is not plugged in I do not have a problem. This is intermittent so workable but really, really frustrating.

Do you have a fix for this?
