I visit clients. What is the best adapter to use so that I will be able to plug my Surface Pro 2 into their large monitors?

• Plugable USB 3.0 to DisplayPort 4K UHD
• Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI / DVI (DL-3500 chipset)
• Plugable UGA-2K-A USB 2.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI
• Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA / DVI / HDMI (Chipset 3100)

I want to give myself the best possible chance of being able to walk into a customer and being able to use their monitors. I will not always know what types of monitors I will encounter when I arrive.

Can you give me some guidance?

Thank,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Thank you for asking! I’d be happy to assist.

In terms of connectivity, Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA / DVI / HDMI (UGA-3000) is the most flexible USB graphics adapter we have. The adapter comes with a DVI-to-HDMI port adapter and a DVI-to-VGA port adapter. You can connect to any monitors that has either VGA, DVI or HDMI input.

If you needed to connect a monitor via DisplayPort, you could, by using the miniDP of the Surface Pro 2.
Please don’t forget to bring proper graphics cables with you.

Hope the above information helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Sachiko
