USB 3.0 7 port hub with short cord
i just purchased USB 3.0 7-port hubbut the cord is very short, only 3 ftHow can i purchase 9 ft cord ?
Thanks for posting your question here! One of the limitations of moving to USB 3.0 from USB 2.0 is cable length. Long cables cause errors. Unlike USB 2.0, USB 3.0 is very sensitive to errors.
If long cables are used with USB 3.0 devices, the errors caused by the cable length could cause the device to drop to USB 2.0 mode and transfer at this slower rate or could cause disconnects.
We do not recommend using long USB 3.0 cables because of the above reason. To avoid any issues we do not provide longer USB 3.0 cables with any of our products.
Hope the above information helps! If you need any additional information, please do feel free to shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are here to help!
