I am using HP Pavilion 15-b119wm Sleekbook, the usb3-e1000 isn't getting the speeds.

I have 350download and 35 upload, and the Ethernet adapter is only getting around 132 mbps down with speedtest.net. I’m using Windows 10 so it has the drivers to work and connect. I don’t what else to do.

Thank you for posting. I’m sorry there have been issues with the available speeds through the USB Ethernet adapter, and I would like to help.

To start, I would like to ask a few questions to get a better understanding of the issue. Please answer the following:

  1. Is the adapter connected to a USB 2.0 port on your PC or a USB 3.0 port?

  2. Have you already tried swapping in a different Ethernet cable, or connecting to a different port on your switch / router?

  3. When running a speed test on a different device with a gigabit network connection, do you get a result closer to 350 Mbps?
