I am trying to get the USB 2.0 USB MICROSCOPE to work. I don't have the CD that comes with it, so can I still make it work?

This is the device I’m using: http://plugable.com/products/usb2-mic….

I’m trying to get this device to work. I downloaded all of the necessary drivers, the computer recognizes this device as being plugged in, the camera light is on and yet I still don’t know how to access the video recording or picture taking capabilities.

From the product page, I know this device 1. is obsolete, and 2. comes with a CD, but I don’t know where that CD is located. Is there any way to run this microscope without that CD?

Update: downloaded this http://www.brothersoft.com/d.php?soft… which allowed me to find something that would use this device. For those in a similar situation, googling instructions on how to use a webcam works great. Although this isn’t a typical webcam, it can be treated like one.

Glad you got it working!

If you’d like, we actually provide a software package specifically for our microscopes. This wasn’t available with the old device, but works with it just as well as it does with the new microscopes. You can find that here:

Let me know if you have any questions!
