How to run Moringstar's MS Viewusing a PL2303 on a Mac OS X El Captain

I am trying to update a Morningstar TS60 Charge Controller
with the program Wine and MS View Program with my PL 2303 adapter. When I go to update the Controller I get a Error in the settings, Comm port required. Can someone tell me how to configure a comm port on my Mac?

Hi Al,

Thank you for posting about your serial adapter.

We have not tested the adapter with Wine in El Capitan, but it can be set up for this in Linux. The procedure is probably similar in OS X.

The main difference is that in OS X the serial port will be /dev/cu.usbserial and /dev/tty.usbserial. The “usbserial” might be followed by a number if you have used more than one USB-serial adapter on the computer.
