how do you restore windows 10 corrupted files transferred from old to new computer

plugable usb2 when try to open files transferred from old to new computer get message “can not open this file because it is corrupted”
these are not among plugable report on what files were not able to transfer.
help serious problem

It seemed to have worked out for itself. workable duplicates, except one, were created for the can not open files. A mystery for me.
