How do I prevent audio from going to the docking station Windows 11?

I have a UD-3900z docking station and it takes over my sound and will not allow either my laptop speakers or Bluetooth speakers to work. I constantly cut my audio out completely. How do I disable this feature permanently?

Hi Deana,

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry the UD-3900Z isn’t working as expected, and I’ll be happy to assist.

Based on your description of the behavior, it sounds like you aren’t able to change the audio output device to your laptop speakers or Bluetooth speaker when the UD-3900Z is connected to your computer. Please let me know if my understanding of the problem is in any way incorrect.

If my understanding of the problem is correct, our next step is to get some additional information.

Can you please send an email to our direct support email address (support@plugable.com) with “For ticket # 414459” in the subject line? In the email, please include the following information:

  1. The Amazon Order ID number for your docking station purchase. If you bought it from Amazon this information is available at www.amazon.com/orders

  2. While the docking station is connected to your PC (even if not working as expected), the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug: https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

This information will help us to determine the next steps.

** Please do not post the above information here in our public forum (it contains personally identifiable information) **

My apologies for the frustration, and thank you for giving us the chance to help!
