How do I connect my PC running windows 8.1pro via usb to my Psion 5mx?

I connected the PL2303HX into the USB port on the computer, the plugged in the serial end to the Psion connecting cable and then into the Psion port, the \pc shows it trying to connect but it fails.

You may need to change the serial port settings such as baud rate, com port, etc to successfully communicate with your device. These settings should be available from your device manufacture.
