How do get my taskbar to appear on a screen of my choosing?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for posting!

I’m going make a few assumptions, so bear with me if I go down the wrong path.

I’m guessing you are using one of our USB Video adapters or USB docks to add a second display to your system. I’m also going to guess when you talk about your taskbar you are referring to making one of the two screens your main display that will have the taskbar located at the bottom of the screen.

If I guessed right and assuming you are using Windows 7 or 8, the easiest way to make that change is to right-click on an empty spot on your desktop and select ‘Screen Resolution’ from the menu that appears. You will be presented with a window that shows all of the displays connected to your PC. If you click the ‘Identify’ button numbers will appear momentarily on the displays to indicate how Windows has detected them. Click on whichever display you wish to have as your main display. It will highlight in blue as a result. Then click on the small check box near the bottom of the window that says ‘Make this my main display’. Click on the ‘Apply’ button, then click the ‘OK’ button (screenshot attached).

The taskbar should now be where you wish it to be. I know I made a lot of assumptions, so if you need any additional help please send an email to support@plugable.com.

Thank you,

Bob
