How can I stream audio from my phone to my computer, so the song playing on the phone can be heard on the computer speakers?

I have a home theater computer that is connected to a stereo with RCA cables. I can watch movies and listen to music on that computer, with sound playing on the connected stereo speakers.

I have the plugable bluetooth USB adapter plugged into the computer and I successfully paired my Android phone with it. I want to be able to play music from my phone, that will then be streamed via bluetooth to the computer and played on the speakers connected to the computer. I tried doing this by playing music on the phone after pairing and connection with the computer were completed, but instead of it sending the sound to the computer, my phone plays the sound on the phone speaker. I am able to send audio from my phone to bluetooth headsets, which is similar to what I’m trying to do here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is likely possible, but I would like to get a better idea of how your computer is currently configured in order to better assist.

Could you run our diagnostic program? It will gather device information and installation logs that will help me understand what is happening.
