HDMI to USB conversion for streaming video

Can you tell me if the “Plugable USB2-HDMI-165 USB to HDMI Video and Audio Adapter for PC to TV 720p (DisplayLink DL-165 chip)” would work for trying to stream video from a camcorder with HDMI output to a PC with USB input? http://plugable.com/products/USB2-HDM… If not, would another of your converter boxes work?

Thanks for your question about our USB2-HDMI-165 adapter. We currently don’t offer any products to convert HDMI output to USB. Our USB2-HDMI-165 graphics adapter (and others) serve to connect a display to a computer via USB.

I believe you’ll need some specialized software on the computer you want to stream to, as well as the necessary physical connections.
