HDMI to connect to Monitor not detected even follow the instruction posted here.
This is happened when I plug docking station to Desk Top to Monitor
I have lap top recent bought has no issue to detect this monitor
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us, I am sorry this is not working as expected and I am happy to help!
The most common issue we see causing the connected display to not be detected is if the DisplayLink USB Graphics software is not installed on the computer. Normally this is installed through Windows update, however sometimes it will not be installed if there are other updates ( common on new computers ) or if the installer has failed for some reason. I recommend we try installing the DisplayLink drivers manually to see if this helps.
The DisplayLink drivers can be downloaded from our driver page here ( https://plugable.com/drivers/displaylink ) or using this direct link ( https://plugable.s3.amazonaws.com/bin/DisplayLink/DisplayLink+USB+Graphics+Software+for+Windows+9.2+M3.exe ). I recommend disconnecting the docking station before installing the drivers, then restarting the computer before reconnecting the docking station.
After loading into the Windows desktop, please try the following to force the displays to extended desktop mode:
- Press and hold the Windows Flag Key on the keyboard ( lower left corner ) then tap the ‘P’ key and finally release the Windows key
- From the Windows 10 PROJECT menu select the “Extend” option to set all connected displays to extended desktop mode
Please let me know if this helps, or if the display is still not detected we can go from here.
Thank you,
Pat
