Gigabit USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter Stopped working on OSX

Hello all, I have a Gigabit USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter and it stopped working a few days ago on my Macbook Retina (late 2013). It was working before and now it gives me the error:

The cable for USB Gigabit Ethernet is connected, but your computer does not have an IP address.

I tested the adapter on a Windows computer and everything connected without a problem.

It does not show any connectivity lights when plugged into my mac.

I don’t know if I need to uninstall/reinstall drivers or what steps to take.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply, Joshua. My Macbook came with Mavericks.

Hello,

Try installing this new OS 10.9 driver for our USB2-E1000 direct from ASIX the chipset manufacturer for our adapter:
