Getting "USB Hub Power Exceeded" messages

I get “USB Hub Power Exceeded” messages when I plug some (not all) devices into my USB3-HUB7-81X. The devices where I have seen this are a USB-Ethernet and USB-Serial which I don’t expect use that much power. I was hoping with this product that I would not have power issues.

The behavior you described is not typical of our USB Hubs power capabilities, especially in relation to your low power devices.

Luckily, we have a troubleshooting tool that helps us find out what is going on in situations like this.

Once the program finishes running, please send the .zip log file it creates on your desktop as an email attachment to support@plugable.com.
