Front end removal

Hello,

I want to take pictures of objects pressed against the other side of a 1-2 mm thick glass sheet at the highest possible magnification. The clear plastic front end of the microscope touches the surface of the glass before finding the focus on the other side.
The front element is attached very firmly on the body. Is there any way to remove it safely?
