Flex headset

I cannot figure out how to pair this to my moterola head set . If finds it on find Bluetooth device but will not connect

Hi Lee,

Thanks for posting to ask! The exact method of pairing and connecting with a particular Bluetooth profile varies by device. Have you had a chance to take a look at Motorola’s FAQ for the flex? They have it here:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhe…

And on the PC side, can you say what version of Windows you have, and are you using the Plugable bluetooth adapter with the built-in WIndows stack (what you would get if you just plugged in and go), or have you installed the optional (higher function) Broadcom stack via download or from our CD?

Thanks for letting us know - we’ll be happy to help!

I have windows 8 and it is finding your unit. When I try to add the Flex it finds it … tries to connect for awhile and then says this isn’t working I just plugged your unit in

Hi Lee - ok, great, that means you’re using the built-in Windows 8 Bluetooth stack (provided by Microsoft).

The Microsoft Bluetooth stack in Windows 8 is the first Microsoft-provided version to support Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP) devices like the Flex. I would expect it would work, but we don’t have a ton of reports on Windows 8.

I would recommend contacting Motorola to ask about working with the Microsoft stack in Windows 8. If Motorola says it won’t work or isn’t sure, we have an option with our adapter: we can replace the Microsoft stack with the one from Broadcom (the maker of the chipset inside the adapter). That driver is available here: http://plugable.com/products/usb-bt4l…

Let us know if we can help in any way - we’ll do everything we can.

Thanks!
Bernie
