External Speakers have no sound

Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion dv7 as well as the Cyber Acoustics Subwoofer Satellite System (CA-3602). When I connect the external speakers directly to my laptop, the sound works great. When I plug the speakers into the docking station, I get no sound.

I have included a picture the sound setting from the control panel from when the speaker is plugged into the docking station. The USB Audio Device is set as the Default Device and there are green bars showing that a song is playing, but I hear no sound.

Hi Hector,

Thanks for posting your question here, we’ll be glad to help. Do you have a simple audio device like a pair of headphones you can plug in to the docking station to verify if it works that way?

I’m thinking it may have to do with the more complex audio system you have not getting proper signals to operate.

Let me know what you see with a pair of headphones and we’ll figure out next steps.

I plugged headphones into the docking station. There is still no sound coming through the headphones.

I have uploaded a screenshot of the sound interface from the control panel when the headphones were plugged in.

Sounds like your sound may have failed. Sorry about that. Please contact us at support@plugable.com with your Amazon Order Id, the serial number of the unit you have and the address you’d like me to ship a pretested replacement to and I’ll get one on it’s way.

I’ve encountered the same problem Hector described above. I’m using an HP Pavilion g6-1d73us laptop. Up until 2 days ago my Plugable docking station had worked flawlessly…then suddenly no sound. I plugged a headset into the docking station - there still was no sound. I’ve uploaded an image of what the sound setting looks like as well. Please advise.
