Esc Key use in IOS on Compact Bluetooth Folding Keyboard

Is it possible to use the Esc key on the Compact Bluetooth Folding Keyboard with IOS? Specifically, I need it for vi operation in my terminal app.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for posting about this. Although the keyboard sends the escape scan code when you press the escape key, iOS doesn’t appear to handle it as such. I’ve done some research online and have seen others with a similar issue:
