I have the Plugable UD-3900 USB 3.0. I want to run two monitors which have HDMI and DVI-D dual link connectors. Can I adapt the DVI connector to the DVI-D dual link on my monitor?
Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for posting. Unfortunately there is no way to convert an existing single-link DVI port (such as that on the UD-3900 and all of our other USB graphics devices) to a dual-link output.
Some dual-link DVI monitors will accept a single link DVI connection and provide some usable lower resolutions. However some dual-link monitors only support their maximum resolution and one unusable fail-safe low resolution such as 1280x720.
Best wishes,
Gary
