Using a DS2415+ (or some other Synology NAS) can I assign let’s say 2 or 4 of the disks to be used ONLY by a USB 3.0 port linked to a console (XBOX One) and the rest of the disks to work as a «proper» NAS?
Hi Fernando,
Thanks for contacting Plugable!
I don’t think what are you describing is possible. Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers interface over Ethernet only and do not support USB direct connection.
If you need a direct USB connection, then you are describing a Direct Attached Storage (DAS) device like a RAID array or external hard drive.
To confirm, your question would be best directed to Synology support:

Hope this helps!
Thank you,
