"Driver Unavailable" after Pairing successfully in Windows 10 using Bluetooth 4.0 in USB 2.0 slot (Sony MDR-1000X Headphones)

Sony MDR-1000X headphones Pair in Windows 10, but immediately switch to “Driver Unavailable” and will not function at all. Has anyone seen this? I understand there are custom drivers available for Bose and Beats, but what about Sony? Thank you for your feedback in advance.

Thank you for your message. I would like to help.

We have at least one other case where a customer was able to pair these headphones before, so this seems like something that is resolvable.

Could you run our diagnostic program? It will gather device information and installation logs that will help me understand what is happening.

To do this, please have the adapter plugged into your computer, then go to this page and follow the instructions there:

Once you get the file, please send it to support@plugable.com and use the subject line “For Ticket #178960”.

Thanks!
