Driver not working with windows 8.1

Just updated my PC to windows 8.1 from 8, driver was working fine on windows 8, but now with the new win 8.1 it is not, updated to the latest RENESAS-USB3-Host-Driver-30200 since I had installed an older one that came with the card and was working fine before, but to no avail, any windows 8.1 support in the horizon, now I have to plug my USB3 external drive to a regular USB2 port so it can work, thanks

Yes, I have a PCI Express USB 3.0 controller card, but after upgrading to windows 8.1 it stopped working, thanks

Hello,

I’ll look into this for you and see what I can find out.

We had two versions of our PCI-E USB 3.0 card. One had an auxiliary power connector on it, the other does not.

Do you know which version you have?

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!

The one I have has an auxiliary power connector, thanks

Hello,

Sorry for the long delay. Please install this driver:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/plugable/bin…

This is the latest driver available for your model PCI-E card. I’ve confirmed it works with our test 8.1 system with the PCI-E USB 3.0 card with external power like yours.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
