Does UD-3900 have a MAC/IPv4 address?

I am trying to catalog everything that is connected to my home network, and have a few “mystery” IP addresses in my Network list. Does a Windows network recognize the UD-3900 as a Network device with an IPv4 address?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting, and I would be happy to help answer your question.

Yes, the Ethernet adapter in our dock does indeed have a MAC address and typically is assigned a IPv4 address in a TCP/IP network.

You can determine the MAC address of the docking station by doing the following:

  1. Assuming you have Windows 8.1 or 10, while the dock is connected to your system right-click on the Start Button and select ‘Network Connections’
  2. From the window that appears right-click on the entry identified as ‘Plugable Ethernet’ and select ‘Status’
  3. From the window that appears click on the ‘Details’ button.
  4. The ‘Physical Address’ is the MAC address, and you can also see the IP address here as well.

Let us know if you have any additional questions!
