Does this adapter go to sleep or into any other non-responsive low-power mode?

I am using this in a pfSense based router as the LAN side connection. It seems to lose connectivity every now and I am wondering if this adapter has a low power mode or if it goes to sleep in any way? And if so, can this be disabled.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’m sorry for the trouble here. With respect, we do disclaim that this adapter is, “Not recommended for use with FreeBSD or pfSense”. We’ve seen that pfSense does some deep packet analysis which doesn’t function with our adapters. Unfortunately, there isn’t a recourse for this. This type of connection behavior is inline with what we’ve seen on these platforms.

I’m sorry for the trouble here. Was this a recent purchase from Amazon? You may want to return the adapter if you don’t have another use for it. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
