Does the USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable require external power of any type?

I am considering purchasing the Plugable 10 Meter USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable to connect a USB keyboard and mouse (2 cables). Will this require external power of any type? On which end? Thanks.

Thanks for asking ahead! If you want to use the Plugable USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable for plugging in low powered devices like the Keyboard or a mouse no external power is required.

For plugging in one or more high powered devices, a powered Hub should be plugged between the Plugable USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable and the device(s).
