Does the UD-6950H support hdmi 5.1?

I have a UD-6950H and am having trouble with my pc seeing a lg tv connected to it. It will play stereo audio to the tv with realtek plugable but not high definition audio.
I there a setting I am missing?

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I’m sorry the UD-6950H isn’t working as expected, and I’ll be happy to assist.

Unfortunately 5.1 surround sound is not supported by UD-6950H, so stereo audio is what’s expected.

You also mentioned you’re having trouble seeing an LG TV connected to the dock. Can you provide some additional detail about this behaviour? For example, does the TV not show video, but still appear within your computer’s “Display Settings”? Or is it not appearing to the computer at all?

One starting step we may want to try is to perform a power-cycle of the unit to reset its internal hub chipset. We’ve seen that this can often restore the dock back to a working state when one or more of its functions are not quite working. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect all USB peripherals connected to the dock
  2. Disconnect docking station from host computer, then disconnect the dock’s power adapter from power
  3. Leave unplugged for 1 minute for power to dissipate
  4. Connect docking station initially into power only
  5. Connect docking station to host machine, then connect USB peripherals then test for functionality
