I followed directions, and the drive does not show on my win7 laptop or my xp desktop. The light comes on when I turn it on but nothing shows in device manager and the driver does not load up.

Sorry, the unit is the plugable communicator U3. My laptop is usb 2. and 3.
There is no driver loading when plugged into either of the usb ports.
