Docking Station with USB Switch Laptop Sleep/Wakeup Issues

If someone is using a Plugable USB docking station to share monitors, keyboard and mouse with two Laptops using the USB sharing switch to toggle between active laptops please let me know what version of windows and brand of laptops you are using.

I am using a recent Gen 12 Lenovo X1 Carbon and an older Gen 6 X1 Carbon and while the newer one has no issues the older one whenever I switch to it will work fine for 2 min or so and then will repeatedly go to sleep. I can awake it but it becomes unusable since it goes to sleep within 10 secs subsequently.

I thought perhaps I need to change the sleep setting and changed the power setting to never put the older Lenovo laptop (which runs Windows 10) to sleep when plugged into power. However despite power cycling the docking station and reconnecting the laptops to the USB switch the same problem keeps happening. I don’t know why there are no problems with the newer laptop which runs Windows 11 Pro.

Any guidance with users using the USB switch and docking station to toggle between two laptops is greatly appreciated.

My detailed setup is described below:
Laptops: 2 Windows laptops via the Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch
Monitors: 2 Monitors (one via the HDMI port and another via the DVI port)
Keyboard: A Logitech MX Keys wireless keyboard is connected via Bluetooth to both Laptops
Mouse: A Logitech wireless M705 mouse shared mouse is connected to both laptops via a Logitech Unifying USB receiver plugged into the dock.
