The HP Zbook Firefly 14 Inch G8 Mobile Workstation PC keeps getting user mode driver crashes. I’m using the DisplayLink Graphics drive 11.5.6200.0 From the Eventview Log The device Plugable UD-ULTC4K (location 0000.000d.0000.003.002.000.000.000.000) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.
To best assist with this type of issue we have a troubleshooting tool that helps us find out what is going on in situations like this. If able, please plug the dock with your monitors and normally used devices attached to it into your computer, then go to this page and follow the instructions there: http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug
When emailing us the diagnostics results to support@plugable.com (please do not post them here!), please ensure to mention Ticket #456139 in the email subject line so we can match things up.
I can then take a look for what may be causing this behavior and offer some next steps.
In most cases where we have seen this kind of behavior in the past it has been due to drivers, however since the DisplayLink drivers are already up to date then it is possible one of the other system drivers may be problematic.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.
Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
