Docking station doesn't fully recognize new laptop

Hi. I purchased the Plugable USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station (model UD-3900) on Amazon a few years ago. It’s been working fine ever since with two different Dell laptops, my Samsung monitor (SyncMaster T24B350), keyboard, mouse, etc.

I just replaced one of the laptops with a new Dell laptop. Connecting to the docking station, the keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals work fine; however, I can’t get a display on the Samsung monitor. I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything, but it doesn’t seem like the laptop recognizes the monitor.

When I first connected the docking station to the new laptop, it looked like drivers were being loaded for each peripheral, but I don’t remember seeing a monitor driver load.

Note, the monitor (and everything else) still works fine with my other laptop.

I really need the docking station to be able to be used. Any ideas? Thanks,

Hi Mike

Thank you for contacting Plugable! I am sorry to hear that your UD-3900 docking station is not functioning as expected, and would be happy to provide additional support.

To help diagnose the issue, may I ask you to please keep the device connected to your new laptop and everything still attached (even if not working as expected) and send us the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug? → https://plugable.com/pages/plugdebug

Once you have the logs, simply send an email to support@plugable.com with the subject line of “Ticket 432796” so that we can prioritize that case and match it to this inquiry.

If you could provide your Amazon Order ID (or other proof of purchase) associated with your Plugable device, I would be happy to check on your warranty status as well.

Thank you for giving us the chance to help!
