Docking Station Does not turn on laptop

I have a dell laptop which I have to open and turn on from the laptop as the power button from plugable only turns off the laptop but not on.

This doesn´t make sense.

Thanks for posting.

The power button on the UD-CAM dock does not actually power off your laptop – it simply powers off the dock. I’m afraid it is not possible to power on or off your laptop through any buttons on the dock as it does not have control over the the systems power state.

You can always turn off your system by doing so through the operating system. However, once the system is in an off state, you must turn it on by pressing the power button on the system itself.
