I have a number of these docks deployed in our office and the users (all macbook pros) all complain that the docks will randomly disconnect and then reconnect a number of times in succession before becoming stable again. This can happen when the macbook is connected for the first time or after a period of connection. It happens to different macs on different docks and so is not isolated to one dock or cable. They are all using the cables that were supplied with the docks and are connected to high quality 4K monitors with good quality cables
