I have a 2018 MacBook Pro running Catalina. When I hook up my ud-ca1 it will charge the MacBook momentarily and then disconnect and then it will momentarily start and stop every few seconds. This is with or without my monitor hooked up. please help!

Our UD-CA1 dock is not compatible with MacBook Pros from 2016-2020 with the Thunderbolt 3 ports and we mention this on the product page here: https://plugable.com/products/ud-ca1/.
Additionally, our UD-CA1 dock has been discontinued since 2017 in favor of our UD-CA1A which has resolved those incompatibilities with the MacBook Pro systems.
The behavior you describe when the UD-CA1 to your 2018 MacBook Pro is the same behavior that lead us to disclaim compatibility and search for a fix which lead to the UD-CA1A (https://plugable.com/products/ud-ca1a/).
If you purchased our UD-CA1 dock from Plugable directly we can look into what option we have, but if you purchased the dock from a 3rd party seller on eBay (for example), you would need to work with that seller for a full refund since our UD-CA1 dock will not be able to work with the 2018 MacBook Pro.
