DisplayLink module disappeared in Linux-2.6.38?

I wait for my DC-125 USB 2.0 Docking Client and wanted to check for the DisplayLink framebuffer module in the kernel…
There is one under staging in 2.6.37 but it seems to have disappeared in 2.6.38 O.o
Did Linus decide not to implement them any more or did they move into the actual kernel somewhere? I couldn’t find it via search either…

Not a big deal, just curious

Hi - Thanks for posting!

Not gone, rather DisplayLink support in 2.6.38 has been promoted from “staging” to mainline (alongside all the other fbdev drivers).

Here’s the new location in Linus’ tree:

source: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel…
documentation: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel…

Supports the DC-125 and all the Plugable USB graphics devices (in addition to DisplayLink devices in general).

Hope that helps. Thanks so much for your purchase, and thanks for asking!
Bernie

Arg, I wasn’t looking hard enough…

Thanks and congratulation
