Disconnect after return from sleep mode

My installation of the plugable usb2.0 docking station with my XPS laptop when w/o any problem. However, none of the devices work after I return from sleep mode. I have to reboot the laptop then everything works again. Can this be fixed?

Hi vihong88,

Thanks for your question about our USB 2.0 docking station. The docking station should wake up when the laptop returns from sleep. A couple of things to try would be to change the USB sleep settings.

Assuming you are running Windows 7, you can access these settings by right clicking on the battery icon in the system tray and selecting power options. In the active power plan, choose change plan settings and then advanced settings. Under USB settings, disable the USB selective suspend. This may help your computer recognize the USB devices more reliably when waking from sleep. Also, try unplugging the USB cable from the computer and plugging it back in, possibly into another port.

I hope this helps,
Jerome.
