Disabling 2nd external monitor on macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Hi there, I have both an HP external monitor and a Sony TV connected to each of the HDMI ports. None of them are 4K. I also have the internal display being used on my MacBook Air.
Is there a way to disable one of the external monitors without physically disconnecting the HDMI cable?

Hello Rick,

Unfortunately macOS does not offer the ability to disable an attached display without disconnecting it.

You would need to use a third party utility like SwitchResX.
