Daisy chain Docking stations to add more monitors

I have a Plugable USB 3 Docking station running two monitors (plus main monitor). I need to upgrade to a minimum of 5 monitors for the processing of scientific data. can I add additional Plugable USB 3 Docking stations to add more monitors?

Hi Glyn,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am happy to help!

It is possible to add additional docking stations to increase the number of monitors. Another option is to use USB graphics adapters ( such as our UGA-3000 USB 3.0 to HDMI/DVI/VGA graphics adapter https://plugable.com/products/uga-3000 ) which can connect to a USB 3.0 port on the docking station to provide for an additional monitor.

I recommend not exceeding four USB attached 1080P monitors, this will minimize performance degradation caused by overloading the USB 3.0 bus. The performance of USB attached monitors may also be affected by high CPU use.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
