- Sync Files: This method is designed to keep folders identical between two computers by automatically updating both sides with the newest versions of your files. During this process, you will be prompted to select exactly which folders you want to keep synced. It is perfect for users who regularly work across two active PCs and need their data perfectly matched.
- Transfer Data to New Computer: This option performs a bulk one-way transfer to efficiently move your files and folders from an older machine to a newer one. Similar to the Sync Files option, you will need to select the specific folders to be transferred over before the migration begins.
- Drag & Drop: This manual method opens a split-screen interface showing the storage drives of both connected computers, allowing you to pull specific items back and forth. It operates similarly to standard Windows File Explorer, giving you complete, specific control over exactly what gets copied.
While selecting your folders in the first two methods, you may notice a “Show Protected Folders” (or protected computers) checkbox. By default, the Bravura software hides essential Windows system directories (like your Program Files, or the User Folder) as a safety precaution.
This prevents critical operating system files from being accidentally modified or moved, which could cause errors on either PC.
