Convince my PC to match my Samsung monitors resolution over HDMI please!

How do I fix overscan issues on a Samsung LS22CRNSF when connected over HDMI to a Windows 8.1 system?

The display shows as “SAMSUNG TV” in the Screen Resolution window, configures to 1920 x 1080, but the picture is somewhat larger than the screen (overscan) and is blurry (I think it’s being magnified and doesn’t align PC pixel to screen pixel).

I’m using the latest drivers as of today.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for getting in contact with us, i’d be happy to answer your question about overscan.

In general, this problem is an issue stemming from the TV itself.

To resolve the issue, you will need to dig through the settings on your TV and look for ‘1:1 pixel mapping.’ Turning this feature on should allow for the TV to properly display the 1920 x 1080 resolution.

As a note, ‘1:1 pixel mapping’ may also be called ‘PC mode’ or ‘Dot by Dot.’

Please let me know if this helps.
