Converting Windows 7 laptop to chome OS

I’m thinking of converting my laptop from windows 7 to chrome os once Microsoft stops supporting windows 7 in January. Will my USB docking station still work after the conversion?

Hi Paul,

Thank you for reaching out to Plugable support, we’re always happy to help.

Our USB 3.0 docking stations use DisplayLink technology, which is supported on ChromeOS R51 and higher so your UD-3900 should work properly under ChromeOS. More information from DisplayLink about using these devices on ChromeOS is here https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/chrome

There are no additional drivers needed on ChromeOS, just plug in your docking station to your device.

I hope this information is helpful and please do let us know if you have any other questions we can help with.

Thanks!
