As soon as I plug anything into any of the USB ports the green light on the power adapter shuts off and on every second and makes a clicking sound, continuously. This happens with 3.0 and 2.0 devices. I have another such unit which works fine when all the same things are plugged in.
It now appears that every storage device that I have plugged into this hub has been either DESTROYED OR ADVERSELY AFFECTED!!! It has fried a Seagate 500GB external drive, a 2 TB Western Digital external drive, and a 8GB flash drive. It has caused a 200 GB WD external drive to randomly disconnect and reconnect. Plugging any of these devices into a USB port of my computer causes a power surge that can only be reset by shutting down and restarting the computer.
